Hcltech IIT ISM Partners For Transforming Global Energy Systems

Partnership to empower research scholars and pupils build digital remedies in parts of exploration, drilling and production of hydrocarbons

HCLTech, a worldwide know-how organization, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Engineering (Indian Faculty of Mines), Dhanbad, Jharkhand to collaborate in the industry of petroleum engineering and earth sciences and build a know-how management technique making use of IT systems.

Under the arrangement, HCLTech will offer assignments and internships alternatives to pupils and analysis scholars of IIT (ISM) to produce digital alternatives in the fields of exploration, drilling and manufacturing of hydrocarbons to lower carbon footprint. Both equally HCLTech and IIT (ISM) will also undertake sustainability initiatives and programmes, which include discussions, podcasts and joint presentations at global message boards on transformative initiatives in the oil and gas sector.

The MoU will assist HCLTech bolster its collaboration with IIT (ISM), Dhanbad even though HCLTech prospects will advantage from solutions in low-carbon sustainability. The MoU involving HCLTech & IIT (ISM) Dhanbad was signed in the presence of Dr Sagar Pal, Dean (R&D), IIT (ISM), Dhanbad and Somnath Das and Deepak Bhardwaj, Administrators – Oil & Gas, HCLTech.


Supply backlink HCL Technologies, India’s sixth-largest IT services firm, and Indian Institute of Technology, Indian School of Mines (IIT-ISM), Dhanbad have recently entered into a strategic partnership in order to work together to transform global energy systems.

Under this partnership, HCL Technologies will join forces with IIT-ISM for the development and implementation of disruptive solutions for the energy sector. The partnership will focus on utilizing cutting-edge digital technologies, such as cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Automation, to drive innovation in the sector.

This move marks a strategic shift in the digitalisation initiative of HCL Technologies, which aims to help its customers to stay ahead in their respective verticals by leveraging disruptive technologies. This partnership is also in line with the government’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiative and its aim to drive the development of local solutions for global challenges.

Under the collaboration, IIT-ISM will provide the research framework and intellectual resources for HCL Technologies to identify and develop solutions for sector-specific problems. The solutions developed as part of this partnership will enable customers to leverage the cloud, artificial intelligence and machine learning for making resources more efficient and cost-effective.
