Source url On April 16th, 2007, tragedy struck Virginia Tech University when a gunman took the lives of 32 innocent people. One of these people was 19 year old student Reema Samaha, whose life was taken during this horrible tragedy.
In memory of their daughter, Reema’s parents founded the Reema Samaha Memorial Fund, a nonprofit organization that seeks to raise awareness about school safety. The fund works to provide better resources for those preparing for and responding to school shootings. The fund’s mission is to honor Reema’s life and to better prepare schools for similar situations.
