S.C. students explore history of city’s Black Wall Street

Students from 5 colleges in Charleston, S.C., have participated in an oral historical past project referred to as “Black Wall Avenue of Charleston,” in which college students developed shows about and performed roles relevant to the city’s Black-owned companies that operated from the late 1800s to the early 1960s. All through the presentation of the undertaking, elementary-schoolers danced, sang and played tunes even though middle- and substantial-school college students figured out about how to perform archival research and oral background interviews.
