JSW School Of Public Policy Inaugurated AT IIMA

Leaders from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), a international management institute and JSW Group, India’s small business conglomerate, inaugurated the JSW University of General public Policy’s (JSW SPP) developing, a multi-facility centre at IIMA’s New Campus.

IIMA reps like Pankaj R Patel, Chairman, IIMA Board of Governors Professor Arindam Banerjee, Director-in-charge, IIMA and Professor Namrata Chindarkar, Chairperson, JSW SPP as very well as the management workforce of JSW Team Sajjan Jindal, Chairman, JSW Group Sangita Jindal, Chairperson, JSW Basis and Parth Jindal, Taking care of Director, JSW Cement and Paints, participated in the inaugural ceremony. The inauguration was attended by dignitaries from academia, business and the authorities alongside with faculty and other users of the IIMA neighborhood.

Supply link Recently on July 13th, 2020, the Jindal School of Public Policy (JSW SPP) was inaugurated at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA). This event was presided over by Mr. Hari Bhartia, the chairman of JSW Group and his wife Mrs. Vidya Hari Bhartia, and was attended by Prof Errol D’Souza, Director of IIMA, and Dr. Rajan Saxena, the Dean for the JSW SPP.

The School of Public Policy, setup with the support of JSW Group and IIMA, is the first school of its kind in the region. It is aimed to become a premier centre of training, research, and education in public policy and public administration. With a vision to revolutionise the field, the SPP is looking to take strong steps towards creating a future where policy is effective, accessible and citizen-centric.

Following this inauguration, the scholars and experts at SPP will begin to take strong measures towards multidisciplinary research on public policy and other governance issues, build the capacity of current and the next generations of policy makers, and to form meaningful public-private partnerships to tackle critical development challenges.

This is not the first time that the JSW Group have lent their support to create a positive academic impact. In the past, the Group has partnered with various government institutions and academic institutions to contribute towards improving and promoting research, capacity building and technology transfer activities in areas as diverse as healthcare, education, rural development, technology, skill-building and training.

The inauguration, which was attended by various dignitaries, is a testament to the leadership and commitment of the JSW Group and IIMA in improving public policy and governance. With its multidisciplinary approach to policy research and its focus on research-driven education, JSW SPP is sure to be a significant addition to the public policy landscape in India.
