The College of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) efficiently organised Tendencies of Robotics in India (TORI-23) on 31 January 2023. The celebration was organised by the Robotics Culture-JMI College student Chapter under the direction of Prof Mohd Suhaib, college advisor of the Society.
The event commenced with the inaugural session which was graced by Hardeep Singh Arora, a Technology and New Products Growth professional, who has served in the Minda Group of Industries for additional than three decades, as the Chief Visitor. The session was also presided by Prof Mini S Thomas, Dean, College of Engineering and Technological know-how and Prof Zahid Akhter Khan, Head, Section of Mechanical Engineering. The inaugural session highlighted the felicitation of the dignitaries followed by their addresses to the audience, complimented by text of wisdom shared by the Main Guest.
Publish this session, multiple functions have been held involved with the subject of robotics, particularly Model Building Competition, Poster Presentation Competition and Analysis Paper Presentation. These activities noticed a whole lot of enthusiastic and inquisitive individuals signing up for in to showcase their beneficial contributions to this large discipline, and striving really hard to have interaction in these specialized competitions. The functions have been judged by skilled faculty associates and specialists who have been connected with this discipline of improvements.
At the finish of the analysis rounds, a valedictory session was held below the august presence of respected dignitaries from the Section of Mechanical Engineering, JMI. The winners from the respective competitions were being awarded with certificates and funds prizes for their attempts. Supply link The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University held a two-day international conference on ’Trends of Robotics in India’, on March 25 and 26, 2018. This event was aimed at exploring the scope, advancements, and opportunities in the field of robotics in India.
The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament, at JMI’s Maulana Mohammed Ali Johar Auditorium. In his speech, Shashi Tharoor stressed on developing indigenous innovations to combat deficiencies in infrastructure in the fields of healthcare, agriculture, communication, and robotics.
The event was also attended by prominent speakers and panellists such as Professor Yagya Shankar, Professor Emeritus at IIT-Delhi, and Professor David Lane, Founding Director of the Centre of Robotics and Cybernetics, Coventry University, UK.
The conference aimed to foster robotics research in the country, in order to create a greater impact and newer applications in various fields such as healthcare, disaster management, security, and transport. It helped to stimulate interaction amongst Indian and foreign experts, academic faculty as well as, research scholars and students in the field of Robotics.
The event helped to create awareness about the current and future trends and applications related to robotics, in India. It provided insights on the repercussions of emerging technologies in the country and looked at potential opportunities for joint collaborations and partnerships.
The event can help the Indian Robotics Industry to become one of the biggest in the world, with the potential to contribute significantly to the economy and the development of India. It can help to create an environment conducive to the growth of robotics-based technologies and research that can benefit not just the universities and research laboratories, but also the industry, as well as the general public.
