IIM Udaipur Organises Udaipur Runs

IIM Udaipur organises the sixth edition of ‘Udaipur Runs’, the outside occasion of the institute’s once-a-year sports fest, Utkrisht. The concept for this year’s party was ‘Aikyam Sahcharya’, which interprets to ‘United Companionship’. The intention is to endorse unity and synergetic companionship. Udaipur Operates hosted notable attendees Ironman Rishabh Jain, Ironman Jitendra Patel, Brigadier Commander S Ramakrishna (VSM), Big Pratik Bhattacharya, Colonel KDS Shaktawat, Kratika Shaktawat and Lieutenant Colonel Apurva Singh.

Supply link The Indian Institute of Management- Udaipur is proud to announce the commencement of their first ‘Udaipur Runs’ – a fun, fitness-based event involving running, on April 1, 2019.

Udaipur Runs is being organised as an initiative to promote good health and fitness amidst the people of Udaipur. As a part of this event, a 5K and a 10K running event will be organised. The event started with an inaugural run at 8:00 AM, with a host of people from different age and economic backgrounds, partaking in it.

The event aims to reflect the beauty and culture of Udaipur in its scenic route. Participants will begin their run at the Moti Magri, a hill east of the famous Pichola Lake and will end at the iconic City Palace.

The participants were ‘Swarmed’ in bright costumes and t-shirts with messages to encourage people to be fit and positive. The runners were welcomed by IIM-U’s councilors on arrival.

The event also saw some prominent personalities from Udaipur city, including the mayor and several government dignitaries, who were successful in motivating the crowd to work towards a healthier future by running. The event has been an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response from the people of Udaipur, who have turned in huge numbers to participate in the event.

The event is being followed up with several other activities such as Yoga and Zumba sessions by experts, health talks by medical professionals, health check-ups and many more activities.

The Udaipur Runs will be organized annually, and the event is being seen as another important step towards good health and well-being of the citizens of the city. IIM-U hopes to encourage more awareness and participation in this event in the coming years.
