Supply link The Indian Institute of Management Udaipur has completed the placement of its fifth MBA (Master of Business Administration) batch, with students bagging roles at the coveted consulting and technology firms.
The placement process, conducted virtually in February 2021, saw 415 students from the PG division landing jobs with requisite industry experience and skills.
The recruitment process was a grand success for IIM Udaipur, where most of the companies that previously recruited candidates at the campus conducted the process virtually. The institute saw an upsurge of 16 per cent in the number of recruiters participating this year. An impressive 133 companies actively participated in the process, with chief operating officers, financial controllers and vice-presidents taking part in the final hiring rounds.
On a macro level, the placement process saw students securing profiles from sectors such as Consulting and Technology, E-Commerce, IT/ ITES and Manufacturing. In the Consulting sector, Bain & Co. India, Deloitte, ELP and EY were the major recruiters. The technology sector saw the highest participation this year and witnessed the participation of the likes of Microsoft, HCL, Accenture, SAP, Oracle and Wipro amongst others. An uptick in hiring was also seen from sectors such as BFSI, FMCG and E-commerce, which have grown significantly over the past years.
The entire effort was led by the institute’s Placement Office and the committee was headed by Pavan Soni and Muhammad Faisal Ali, who worked diligently to ensure smooth and effective placements.
The double-digit growth in the participation of companies and various sectors associated with the corporate world shows IIM Udaipur’s presence and the remarkable academic capabilities of the students that it produces. The institute is confident that the batch will be suitable for the ever-increasing needs in the industry and that students will pave the way to their successful and fulfilling careers.
