Indian Institute of Management Kashipur and Kashipur Improvement Forum (KDF) will jointly organise Kashipur Marathon 2023 on 5 February 2023 in Kashipur.
IIM Kashipur organised a press meeting on campus to notify the media about the exact same. The meeting was attended by officials from KDF as nicely as IIM Kashipur. Supply connection IIM Kashipur Knowledge Development Forum (KDF) recently announced the organizing of a marathon on Sunday, 24th November 2019. This marathon is a part of the Service Learning Programme of IIM Kashipur, a premium management school that has been offering world-class education since 2011.
The marathon will be held in the campus of the institute and it would aim to reach out to the deprived section of society and raise awareness about hygiene and cleanliness. The marathon will be held at the main entrance of the institute and cover distance of 5 km. There is no registration fee to participate in the marathon, however, the participants will have to register beforehand at the given link. All the participants must wear their respective t-shirts with the motto: ‘Run for Hygiene’. Moreover, all the participants are encouraged to donate toiletries like toothbrush, toothpaste, soaps, and sanitary napkins to the underprivileged people.
This event is not only a unique initiative to spread awareness on hygiene, but it also provides an opportunity for the students of IIM Kashipur to get involved in the Service Learning programme and make every possible effort to help their society. The marathon also serves its purpose by providing a platform to encourage children to take part in physical activities and thus stay fit and healthy. The initiative would further help the youth to understand their societal responsibilities and contribute to the well-being of the community.
All in all, IIM Kashipur KDF will provide a great opportunity to the people to indulge in physical activities and celebrate hygiene. The marathon would also encourage a sense of responsibility towards the society. It will help to raise awareness about hygiene and its preventive measures among the underprivileged children.
