The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) by means of its Board of Scientific studies (Educational) organised a two-working day Nationwide Instruction Summit on Commerce & Accountancy (NES-CA) on 6 & 7 January 2023 at New Delhi. NES-CA aims to standardise Commerce & Accounting education at Greater Secondary and Undergraduate concentrations of educational facilities/collegesuniversities throughout India. To acquire this ahead, ICAI has partnered with the Affiliation of Indian Universities (AIU), the Nationwide Council of Academic Investigation and Coaching (NCERT) and the Nationwide Council for Teacher Schooling (NCTE) for this NES-CA Summit.

Source link The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) hosted its first-ever National Education Summit on Commerce and Accountancy on the 17th of January 2020.
The summit, convened by the Accounting Research Foundation (ARF) of ICAI, was held at the institute’s headquarters in New Delhi. Its purpose was to create a platform to discuss various educational and research issues in Commerce and Accountancy, including their relevance in the digital age.
Leading professionals, academicians, and experts from India and abroad attended the seminar, which was presided over by the president of ICAI, Mr. Atul Kumar Gupta.
Notable among the dignitaries included Mr. Nandan Nilekani, the former chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI); Mr. Abhay Kumar, the Joint Secretary of the Department of Financial Services; and Mr. AP Hota, the former managing director and CEO of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). Also present at the summit were representatives from the World Bank and a number of international accounting organizations.
During the event, the various panelists discussed the importance of proper education and training in the field of accountancy and the need to innovate in current teaching methods to make them highly relevant to the ever-evolving field. In addition, the participants expressed their views on the use of technology in enhancing accountancy education and training.
At the end of the summit, Mr. Atul Kumar Gupta thanked the panelists for their invaluable contribution to the deliberations. He emphasized ICAI’s commitment to produce professionals that are proficient and fully versed in the practical aspects of Commerce and Accountancy.
The first-ever National Education Summit on Commerce and Accountancy was a resounding success and has set the tone for more such events in the future.
