This year, around 200 students from different courses applied for the internship and a total of 170 applicants were selected.

The internship program was highly competitive and all of the applicants had to undergo a stringent screening process before being selected. The program was open to eligible students from all disciplines and backgrounds, with the primary aim of providing them with a professional development opportunity.

The internships were open to applicants from all over India, and the selected applicants will now get to work with many of the most renowned companies in the country, such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and Infosys. The students selected for the internship also got to work with other top-tiered companies like DE Shaw, ZS Associates, and Accenture.

During the internship period, the chosen candidates were given an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in their respective areas, while working on live projects. These interns will now go back to their colleges to share the best practices learned during the internship and impart their new knowledge and skill sets into their respective academic and research projects.

The internships were seven weeks long and took place during the summer. BITSoM is proud to have been able to provide such an excellent opportunity for its students, not only in terms of professionally developing them, but also in terms of giving them a real-world learning experience.
