Austrade Inks MoU With CII On Technical Vocational Education

The Australian Trade and Investment Fee (Austrade –  Australian Government company) has signed an MoU with the Confederation of Indian Marketplace (CII) to collaborate on Complex Vocational Education and learning and Education (TVET) programmes. The MoU will aim on Australian training criteria and shipping and delivery in sectors ranging throughout automotive, allied health, mining, IT, cyber security, renewable electrical power, logistics, provide chain and drinking water administration. Austrade’s Australia-India Foreseeable future Competencies Initiative crew in India will execute on these actions with CII.

The Australia-India Long run Abilities Initiative (the Initiative) is the Australian Government’s flagship programme to guidance India’s workforce and skills improvement as a result of partnerships with Australian vocationaleducation, instruction and competencies suppliers. The initiative encourages bilateral collaboration on offering Australian skills education to India by means of trade missions, G2G agreements, webinars, seminars and enterprise matching in the education and learning and schooling sector.  It encourages two-way industry literacy and connects industrial skilling prospects concerning Australian vendors and Indian universities and corporates.

Source connection Australia’s national trade and investment agency, Austrade, recently announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to support technical and vocational education in India.

The MoU was signed by His Excellency Mr. Barry O’Farrell, Australia’sHigh Commissioner to India, and Mr. Krishna Murari Kacker, SecretaryGeneral, Confederation of Indian Industry.

The MoU marks a significant step in deepening the multi-faceted tie between India and Australia, in particular in the area of technical andvocational education and training.

It is also in line with the Indian Government’s National Skill Development Mission (NSDM), which focuses on equipping youth with relevant skills that can open up employment opportunities across sectors.

Under the terms of the MoU, both parties agree to collaborate on various initiatives to support skill development in India through vocational education programs such as apprenticeships, skill training, and industry certification.

This includes a commitment to explore opportunities for Indian industry to access Australia’s world-class training facilities and expertise, as well as conducting joint technical and vocational capacity-building activities for the Indian industry.

In addition, the parties will also collaborate on research and development initiatives, which could include exchange of best practices and sharing of innovative ideas from the Australian side.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. O’Farrell said, “Vocational Education and Training (VET) is a core part of the Australian economy and society. By coming together in this MoU, Australia and India can share our best experienced practices and deliver greater skills development opportunities to the India people.”

This collaboration between Austrade and CII will help create a better skilled workforce in India, and in turn lead to better economic development for both countries.
