6 Tips To Make A Holiday Bazaar Lively & Merry

It’s that time of the year again when people spend the most time looking and buying gifts for their loved ones. December is the month of giving, and it’s people’s way of showing appreciation and care for their family and friends. It’s also a time for businesses to earn better sales because of the demand.

Other countries start opening holiday bazaars early in October or right after Halloween. Some, on the other hand, open bazaars in December, just in time for people to shop, explore, and enjoy with their families and friends.

Indeed, opening a holiday bazaar is a great revenue stream to have this holiday. Businesses can collaborate and work with other shops when choosing a location, store, products and services to offer. If you’re managing one or planning to open yours, this post is for you. Here are tips to make a holiday bazaar lively and merry.

1 – Create a holiday playlist and play music on the loop.

One of the ways to make people feel the holidays is by playing Christmas songs. It’s also one of the signs that remind people the holidays are near. When you hear Christmas songs playing outside, you feel joyous and feel like the atmosphere is better.

Since you’ll be opening a bazaar, it’s essential to keep the holiday vibe alive with music. With that, I recommend renting line array speakers if the venue of your bazaar is in a dome, gymnasium, or tent-like area. Line-array speakers are better than stand-on speakers so that the music surrounds the space seamlessly.

2 – Decorate the space with Christmas lights and ornaments.

Aside from holiday music, another way of making people feel the holiday spirit is by decorating the space with Christmas lights and ornaments. If you have stalls for every business, you can decorate their stands with Christmas ornaments or lights to emulate the holiday vibe better.

The great thing about Christmas decorations is they don’t have to be expensive. If you don’t have the budget for Christmas lights and ornaments, you can create a DIY Christmas decoration to design your stalls and venue.

3 – Schedule live performances during weekends.

There are many things you can do at a holiday bazaar. Typically, people go to bazaars to shop and look for Christmas gifts. Some visit to explore the food stalls that the bazaar has, if they allow one. While others visit to watch live performances from starting artists.

Having a little entertainment during the holiday season is fun and makes the season more joyous. Also, it’s a great experience and memory for families with kids to try. If you plan to schedule live shows or performances in your bazaar, I recommend setting it up on weekends. Also, try to be diverse with the talents you’ll hire to entertain people of all ages.

4 – Designate a separate space for food and beverage stalls.

I mentioned in my previous point how other families love to visit holiday bazaars for food. And if you plan to allow food and drinks in your bazaar, I recommend designating a separate space for food and beverage stalls.

Doing so allows you to have an organised and clean bazaar. Since there will be families visiting the bazaar, expect that kids may cause minor food and drink spills. That’s why separating the food and drinks area is essential. That way businesses selling material things will be at ease at the bazaar.

5 – Consider adding activities families and kids can enjoy.

Another tip to make your holiday bazaar lively and merry is to consider adding activities families and kids can enjoy. You can set this to happen only once or twice in your bazaar. Preparing activities families can enjoy will surely increase the attendance of your bazaar.

You must remember that not everyone’s after buying material things on Christmas. Some prioritise creating new memories with their loved ones. Making activities that everyone can enjoy is fun. You don’t have to schedule this daily. It would be best to make the activities available only once or twice before or after Christmas.

6 – Collaborate with famous brands for sponsorships.

Last but not least, collaborate with famous brands for sponsorships. If you have a budget to collaborate with other brands, consider having them for your bazaar. The great thing about brand sponsorships is that more people will likely visit your bazaar if a familiar brand is there.

Of course, a bazaar can still be successful without having famous brands. But if you want to have diverse business types and have sponsors for other activities you plan to include, collaborations are a great idea.

Most importantly, prioritise the safety of everyone.

Hopefully, these tips will help you make your holiday bazaar lively and merry. But as you plan and go on with the bazaar, don’t forget to prioritise the safety of everyone. Make it a priority to ensure the space is safe and suitable for people of all ages. At the end of the day, what matters most is that everyone who goes into the bazaar will leave safely, happy, and in good condition.
